Wars and battles had always seemed common place in the mortal world. Demeter had never been a fan of them. Far to much death and sadness followed for her liking. The Gods were almost always involved in some way with these though, what with so many mortals petitioning for their favor and an edge. Luckily, being a Goddess of the harvest meant Demeter wasn't normally pulled into those kind of things. Her fellow gods and goddesses usually weren't so lucky. Not even her fellow triad member, Dionysus. Being a son of Zeus had its pull, even though he was a god of wine and merriment. A mere sister however...not so much usually. Which she didn't mind in the slightest, really. She wandered the land, appearing and disappearing randomly as she wandered aimlessly. It was one of those days where she was unsure of what she wanted to do. She could go visit Olympus...but she often felt happier down here among the mortals. She wandered about her various temples, brushing past a few women seeking help having children without them knowing. They'd soon find their prayers answered by that simple touch, but it was nothing she needed to make her presence known for. Once she had finished at her temples she thought she'd drop by and visit her nephew and possibly his wife. She hadn't really been able to converse with this new goddess just yet, but if Dio liked her that much she couldn't be all that bad. She appeared subtly in the inner parts of the temple where normal mortals weren't allowed, hoping to run into them. “Diooooooooo......you're favorite aunt has run out of her stash of wine.” she called out in a light and joking manner. Dionysus

Hot That's just a given. And I'm sure the mortals think you exceed that even. Especially with the wine flowing.

Dionysus & DemeterYes, they'll get along well i think. She likes him much more than some of their other siblings. She doesn't mind his drinking and merry making one bit since its all in good fun. Ahhh yes the agricultural trio! I forgot about that! Didnt they used to have some sort of combined festival?

Demeter ~ Ageless ~ Goddess of the Harvest and FertilityGoddess of the Harvest and Fertility, Demeter has always had a big heart. She is compassionate, loyal to her loved ones, and feels things very deeply. Some might call her weak or overly emotional, but she doesn't mind. After all, better to feel everything than feel nothing at all. It allows her to be empathetic to those around her, understand their happiness and sorrows and assist them accordingly should they call on her. Helping brings her great joy, seeing the smiles of overwhelming happiness of others as they succeed in their harvest or conception of a child. Nothing feels better. She is also a very dedicated and patient woman who will stop at nothing to protect her loved ones.
People know her as the nurturer and the rescuer. She provides support and protection for those who need it, and nurtures and loves them as her own children. Though in turn she can also be over protective and slightly over bearing in her desire to protect. She will try to keep people from doing things if she fears it will harm them, often smothering them with her over protective tendencies. This causes some annoyance and frustration on the part of her 'children'.
If she cant protect someone she becomes highly depressed and frustrated. She also has a very large stubborn streak, as the other gods can attest too. She once refused to leave her temple for months when her beloved daughter Persephone was kidnapped by Hades, which almost led to the ruin and starvation of mankind when no vegetation would grow. Now every year this happens when her daughter goes back to the underworld. She mourns her loss for those months far more then anyone should by this time, which causes the mortal world to experience Winter.
Demeter, unlike most of the other gods, prefers to live among her temples. She enjoys being in close proximity to those who worship or need her and interact with them far more often then usual.
She is also known as the Poppy goddess or Corn Mother who blesses harvesters.
Her 9 children are as follows: Persephone, Despoina, Arion, Plutus, Philomelus, Eubuleus, Chrysothemis, Amphitheus 1, Dmia. The only immortal children of these are Persephone,Plutus, Despoina, Dmia, and Arion (an immortal stallion).

Demeter, unlike most of the other gods, prefers to live among her temples. Or at least she did back when they were still highly active and in good repair. She enjoyed being in close proximity to those who worshiped her and interact with them far more often then usual. Now that most have fallen to ruin she spends more time with her fellow gods and goddesses, but prefers to be among the mortals and those who remember her still.
